Help Bridge Theology and Science
CTNS has distinguished itself as a world leader in the field of theology and science. Our continued success depends on the generous support of individuals who share our mission to bridge theology and science. Much important work remains to be done.

General Fund

Each gift helps ensure that CTNS will continue to promote our mission of bridging theology and science through programs such as the refereed journal, Theology and Science, public forums, scholarly book publications, doctoral and seminary courses at the Graduate Theological Union and web resources for the international community.
The Russell Family Research Fellowship
Support a worldwide leader in theology and science in sharing their research with GTU students and the local Bay Area community.
The annual Russell Family Research Fellowship in Religion and Science brings senior scholars in the field of theology and the natural sciences to residence at CTNS/GTU. They present original research in a day-long conference, give a presentation to a GTU doctoral or seminary course, and present public lectures. These events are attended by faculty and graduate students from the GTU and UC Berkeley, as well as those in local religious communities and the general public who are interested in theology and science.
The Charles H. Townes Graduate Student Fellowship
Support the training and excellent scholarship of current doctoral students in the field of theology and science at the Graduate Theological Union.
Charles H. Townes, who received the Nobel Prize in Physics for his co-discovery of the maser and the laser, served on the CTNS Board of Directors for over two decades. The purpose of the Townes Fellowship is to publicly recognize and offer modest financial support to doctoral students of the Graduate Theological Union who have demonstrated the clear ability to do highly promising research on issues related to theology and science.
CTNS is an internal program of the Graduate Theological Union, a non-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
