From collaboration on GTU's "Virtuous AI?" Conference, Dr. Olsen presents research on the promises and perils of AI in healthcare settings in the USA and Uganda. The virtue of prudence receives special attention in light of AI/ML augmentation for medical decision-making.

Cyrus P. Olsen III, D.Phil. (Oxon.), is an Associate Professor of Theology/Religious Studies and Health Humanities at The University of Scranton as well as an Affiliate Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School through the Dhand Lab, and its subsidiary, the Human Network Initiative for a multi-year grant (2022-2026) through the Templeton World Charity Foundation: Buffering, Porosity and Brain Health in Uganda (#20714). Additionally, he is a Research Fellow for the non-profit AI & Faith and served previously as the Lo Schiavo Chair in Catholic Social Thought through the Lane Center at the University of San Francisco in AY ’22-23.
